The Word and the Whisper:  #1  The Joy of Fresh Beginnings             December 30, 2025

One of the things I loved as a child was the chance to start over every 9 weeks! No matter how I did in school the previous quarter, I had another opportunity to “begin again”!    

Every September came with fresh hopes! A new semester was always starting in January!  We could learn a lot from those school days! 

Many of us get stuck in a rut that can destroy our dreams and make us feel depressed and desperate!  But thankfully, God offers New Beginnings! He forgives our mistakes and encourages us to move ahead in a fresh way! He doesn’t want us to get trapped in a past full of regrets, failures and defeats!  That’s why we love January 1^st every Year! It’s a chance to rewrite our story! 

Here @ KCC, we are embarking on 4 NEW ADVENTURES AS WE OPEN 2026!

1) This first regular feature is called “The Word and the Whisper”. It’s a BLOG that I will be writing to comment on things in our lives, our church and our world. Sometimes God speaks strongly through His Word (the Bible), and other times He whispers softly into our hearts the truths He wants us to know. My goal is to share what God is teaching me to bring hope and humor to your life as we move forward together into 2026!

2) A second new item is called a VLOG. It will be a regular Video release on our website. The title is “The Vineyard.”  The idea is based on Jesus talking quietly with His Disciples in the Vineyard on the night He was arrested. He told them some key information they needed to know as they prepared to face life without Him by their side daily. But they were not alone!  He was with them in the form of the Holy Spirit. His voice would sometimes be a Whisper: But He would still be talking to them! And He promises He will speak to us if we quiet ourselves to hear Him!

3) I’m launching part 2 of my series in Colossians: “Waiting for the Harvest.” We’ll cover some issues faced by people like us as we plant seeds and seek to grow God’s fruit in our lives. Join me every Sunday @ 10 am in January-February 2026!

4) We’re also starting a new series in Adult Sunday School on January 18^th:                     “Drive Through the Bible!” This journey will connect the dots from Genesis through Revelation! Join us on this incredible Road Trip! You’ll be glad you did!

God is at work here @ KCC in some new and exciting ways!  Keep Looking Up!
