A Kruiser enKouragement
(
October 20, 2006 )
This
morning I came up with a good excuse for not walking
and I thought I would share it with you in case you want to use it! Excuse: A badger was in the way.
I was heading out our lane towards 300th
Street and about half way down, there he was
throwing dirt.
It got me
thinking. Wouldn’t it be fun to come up with a
list of excuses for not walking (or doing whatever exercise you are
doing). Maybe
we could put them in a book and sell it for a fund raiser!
But there
is a catch. Since we know exercise is good
for our hearts and we
want to be
encouraging to our fellow Kruisers, along with the excuse there needs
to be an
excuse buster! Here’s what I mean. Excuse: A badger was in the way.
Excuse
Buster: Walk around the cow field instead.
The
suggested Bible reading for this month is I John and the
next gathering of the Kruisers is November 15th, 6:30 p.m. at the church.
As you are reading I John, look for ways you
can show God you love him.
I John 1:7
says: But if we walk in the light, as he is in
the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus,
his
Son, purifies us from all sin. The Living Bible reads: But if we are
living in
the light of God’s presence, just as Christ does, then we have
wonderful
fellowship and joy with each other, and the blood of Jesus his Son
cleanses us
from every sin.
Think of
it, not only are we cleansed from every sin, we
have wonderful fellowship and joy with each other! Take time to thank
God for
the fellowship and joy we with have with each other.
Ask God to show you how to walk in the light
of his presence.
