Komstad Evangelical Covenant Church

The Komstad Mission Society was formed on October 23, 1874. The following minutes are from the first recorded meeting, the minutes of which were translated from Swedish to English for the 125th Anniversary by Stefan Sandberg.

Meeting of the Komstad Mission Society on May 6th, 1875.

The Chairman opened the meeting with prayer and then took the chair. The undersigned was elected as Secretary pro tem.

The Chairman explained that the persons previously elected as delegates at the meeting on October 23, 1874, this meeting held in Sioux City, P. Lindholm and C. Bengtson now had joined the First Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sioux City and this Society therefore had lost its Secretary, P. Lindholm. Now therefore the meeting was asked if not two other delegates should be elected to replace these two resignations and this question was answered with a yes.

G. Norgren was nominated and elected to fill P. Lindholm’s position as Secretary and C. Anderson to replace C. Bengtson.
