Komstad Evangelical Covenant Church

Every church comes with a history. Here at Komstad, we would like that story to be told. And so we offer some of the articles that have been written down through the years for church anniversaries and celebrations.

They describe the struggle to build a church on the South Dakota prairie, and they paint the picture of the resolution and faith of a pioneer people.

In many ways, it is impossible to comprehend the faithfulness of God without some awareness of his work though the  generations. That story is told here, in the families that have been a part of Komstad history, some since its beginning.

Although this is history, think of it as a story of faith. The people came together to worship, they worked as a service to God, and they spoke a message of life in Jesus to their neighbors, friends, and family.

We want the same. Not to mimic the past, but to share the same faith in Jesus that our ancestors knew, the same worship, the same life. Here is their story, as well as we can tell it.
